The entire building has been skillfully restored. The attention to even the smallest detail is amazing. The guestrooms have high beamed-ceilings, oak floors and Italian marble that add to the romantic atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel’s suites occupy an adjacent 12th Century building decorated in the opulent Venetian style of the period. The suites are layered in luxurious silk fabrics with gilt furniture, fine carpets, and handcrafted Murano-Glass sconces.
Most of the hotel’s 30 rooms have a view of the Clock Tower, hence the name Torre Dell ‘Orologio. However, the hotel’s “Bellevue” suites overlook Piazza San Marco and the extraordinary baroque Cathedral. These are the only hotel rooms in Venice that offer a view of this historical square.
However you describe the design or the views, beneath the surface beats the heart of a great hotel. The staff is friendly, yet very professional, and provides the level of service you would expect from an excellent hotel, while maintaining a comfortable, intimate atmosphere.
